A scientific review on the correlation of the silver nanoparticle synthesis methods with host cytotoxicity

Silver nanoparticles have been extensively researched and several applications such as antimicrobial anticancer, can be used in the agricultural, biomedical, pharmaceutical, textile area, among others, but its toxicity is still little understood. Nanoparticles measure between 1 – 100 nm most currently studied silver nanoparticle (AgNP). The main methods of synthesis are chemical biogenic pathway, or green, which less environmentally polluting, more friendly, simpler, although standardization complex. Morphological physical-chemical characteristics differ according to method and, consequently, present different degrees toxicity. Nanotoxicology studies on living organisms scientists seek know about properties their influence interaction with environment. It known that there parameters toxicity, dose, particle size, shape, morphology, surface chemistry, agglomeration/aggregation state, method, cell type organism it tested.
